Efeméride/On this day: muerte de Jane Austen/Jane Austen's Death

On a day like this, 18th of July, Jane Austen died (en 1817). Too soon, with only 41 years, she was gone. Her wit has been kept in her works, wonderful novels and short works, and in the letters we still have. But, let's not focus in the sad side, because Miss Jane Austen, was never of that kind...just remember her quotation:

"Let other pens dwell on guilt and misery" 

So, just celebrate that she was here, and she created a whole world, that still, 200 years later, still beats in our hearts and inspire our minds.

 

En un día como el de hoy, 18 de julio, Jane Austen murió (en 1817). Demasiado pronto, con sólo 41 años, ella fue. Su ingenio se ha mantenido en sus obras, novelas maravillosas y obras cortas, y en las cartas que aún tenemos. Sin embargo, no nos vamos a centrar en el lado triste, porque la señorita Jane Austen, no era de ese tipo ... sólo recordad su cita:

"Dejad a otras plumas que moren en culpabilidad y la miseria"

Por lo tanto, celebremos que ella estuvo aquí, y creó todo un mundo, que aún, 200 años después, aún late en nuestros corazones e inspira nuestras mentes.
