Este año, hemos visto como el servicio postal británico editaba unos preciosos sellos por el bicentenario de Orgullo y Prejuicio. Pero ésta no ha sido la primera vez que se han editado sellos austenitas. En 1975, por el 200 aniversario del nacimiento de Jane Austen, se hicieron una serie de estampillas para celebrarlo. No sólo estaba Mr Darcy, si no también, Emma Woodhouse y su padre entre otros.
Los sellos, fueron ilustrados por Barbara Brown, que hizo ilustraciones austenitas para otros trabajos también.
Desde luego, una obligación para todos aquellos amantes de la filatelia y de Jane Austen.
