No podemos
Pride and Prejudice won Kafka's Metamorphosis and The Collected Works of Augusto Monterroso, so the novel will be read next 23rd April in the Rambla Cataluña (Juarez and Escorza), Guadalajara (Mexico), from 10 to 21 hours. Many citizens have registered for the readathon and they will receive a copy of the book and a rose, courtesy of the University Center of Biological and Agricultural Sciences, University of Guadalajara. Note: a rose is given for Sant Jordi/San Jorge with a book as a present, every 23rd of April (it is a typical thing from Cataluña, Spain).
As the great Mexican writer Sergio Pitol says "Elizabeth Bennet illustrates a possibility of freedom and independence. We can't say she placed the cobblestone path that many years after her great-granddaughters would transit with severe ankle boots, sour and sullen gestures pantsuit in search of women's suffrage , that would work too rough for her, but surely worked with the flower beds that adorn the path. And one of them hid a bomb. "
