Mark Carney Launches New U.K. Banknote

Mark Carney Launches New U.K. Banknote

I'm finally going to save money! Austen money which falls into my hands, I will keep it as a little gold bar in a cloth. On Wednesday July 24, the Bank of England confirmed that Jane Austen will be the new face on the banknotes of ten pounds, which will be something like this:

Mark Carney Launches New U.K. Banknote

"Jane Austen deserves its place in the select group of historical figures that can appear on our banknotes" said the new Governed Mark Carney. "Her novels are universal and timeless and she is one of the most important writers of English literature." (Ehem, ... take that for those who say she is a kind of Barbara Cartland!). It is also the right time with the celebration of the bicentenary of the publication of Pride and Prejudice.
The phrase they have chosen of Pride and Prejudice has been: "After all, I declare that there is no better entertainment than reading." Anyway, I think that was infinitely better ....
Jane herself, in Mansfield Park, wrote: "the best recipe for happiness I know is a generous income." She herself recognized her niece, though she appreciated the success of her novels, she also liked to receive money from them. Something that also allowed some independence from her family.

I can only add that ...

This is better than winning the Champions League!!! (*)

¡¡¡OÉEE…., OÉEE, OÉE, OÉEEE…., OÉEEEE……, OÉEEEEEEE……!
¡Qué contenta estoy! I am so happy!!
