Conferencia/Conference: Chawton House Library (UK)

Saturday 9th February 2013, 10.00 am  –  4.00 pm

Study day at Chawton House Library to celebrate our beloved book. Four scholars of Austen will discuss it and the day will conclude at Jane Austen's House Museum, with a selection of readings from the novel by Elizabeth Garvie, (Lizzy in 1980 BBC adaptation).

The scholars and conferences will be:
Paula Byrne, The Real Jane Austen: A life in small things
Shelley Cobb, Pride and Prejudice on Screen
Kathryn Sutherland, Opinions of Pride and Prejudice
Bharat Tandon, ‘I do not write for such dull Elves’: Finding Voices in Pride and Prejudice

Tickets:  £40 (£33  for students and Friends of Chawton House Library), to include all refreshments, a two-course lunch at Chawton House Library, and entry to the Jane Austen House Museum.

Día de estudio en la Chawton House Library para celebrar nuestro querido libro. 4 profesores universitarios austenianos lo tratarán, y el día concluirá en la Casa Museo de Jane Austen, con una selección de lecturas de la novela a cargo de Elizabeth Garvie (Lizzy en la adaptación de 1980 de la BBC).
