Exhibition!Exposición! Literature in English, 1713-1913 - Union College, Schenectady - EEUU/USA

On 8th October, Schaffer Library opened “Literature in English, 1713-1913”, an exhibition that lasts till 17th December. The exhibiton, curated by Schaffer’s Head of Technical Services Annette LeClair, features the library’s first edition copy of Austen’s novel. You can also see rare editions of literary works from England, Scotland, Ireland and the United States published during this time period comprise the rest of the exhibit.

El 8 de octubre, la biblioteca Schaffer inauguró "Literatura en Inglés, 1713-1913", una exposición que dura hasta el 17 de diciembre. La exposición, organizada por la Jefa de los Servicios Técnicos de Schaffer, Annette LeClair, cuenta con la primera copia de la edición de la novela de Austen. También puede ver ediciones raras de las obras literarias de Inglaterra, Escocia, Irlanda y los Estados Unidos publicadas durante este período de tiempo.

Teatro! Drama! Athens - Georgia (EEUU/USA) - UGA

The University of Georgia Theatre will celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Jane Austen classic “Pride and Prejudice” with a stage adaptation by Joseph Hanreddy and J.R. Sullivan directed by UGA’s George Contini. Performances will be Nov. 7, 8 and 13-16 at 8 p.m. with matinees Nov. 10 and 17 at 2:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Theatre. Enjoy it!

El Teatro de la Universidad de Georgia celebrará el 200 aniversario del clásico de Austen "Orgullo y prejuicio" con una adaptación teatral de José Hanreddy y JR Sullivan, dirigida por George Contini. Evento/Event: Jane Austen Festival in Kentucky (EEUU/USA): 21-22 July

Next July 21 and 22, at the historic Locust Grove, there is a Jane Austen Festival in Kentucky. Attendees will have tea by Bingley's Teas during the afternoon. There will be a play called "Elizabeth & Darcy-A Love Story", written by Greater Louisville member, Alana Gillett, and a Regency Promenade on Saturday. For the latter, guests are invited to dress in period dress in an attempt to break the Guinness Book World Record number of people in Regency attire. To participate, a one dollar per person fee is required, which will be donated to the Jane Austen House Museum in Chawton, England. Are you joining?

El próximo 21 y 22 de julio en el histórico Locust Grove, hay un Festival de Jane Austen en Kentucky. Los asistentes podrán tomar el té de Bingley's Tea por la tarde. Habrá una obra de teatro llamada "Elizabeth y Darcy-Una historia de amor", escrita por el miembro de mayor Louisville, Alana Gillett, y una Regency Promenade el sábado. Evento/Event: Pride & Prejudice: Not Just a Love Story - Drexel University (PA-USA)

On 5th of June, at 3:00pm, in the Sky View Room on the 6th Floor of MacAlister, Drexel Students will have an event called “Pride and Prejudice, Not Just a Love Story”. It is sponsored by Pennoni Honors College.

The event will feature dramatic readings, movie clips and food inspired by the Regency Era cuisine. It will celebrate the 200th anniversary of the novel’s publication and also recognize the book’s enduring value

Drama/Teatro: Fayetteville, TN (EEUU/USA) April 25

Next Thursday, April 25, 2013, 7 – 10pm, Carriage House Players' production of Jane Austen's Pride & Prejudice. It runs thru May 4. You can go to the Lincoln County Museum Theater in beautiful Fayetteville, Tennessee. An English country tea will be served during the performance.

Conference/Conferencia: Andrew Davies in Chapman University/Universidad de Chapman (USA/EEUU)

Andrew Davies, writer of adaptation such as Pride and Prejudice 1995, Northanger Abbey, Middlemarch and many more will be giving a conference in Chapman University next 26th April 7 PM, by the Jane Austen Society of North America. There will be a screenings of the series. The screenings are part of the society’s spring meeting, “Visualizing Pride and Prejudice in Orange County.”

Andrew Davies, guionista de adaptaciones como Orgullo y Prejuicio 1995, La Abadía de Northanger, Middlemarch y muchas más adaptaciones dará una conferencia en la Universidad de Chapman el próximo 26 de Abril a las 7 de la tarde, gracias a la Jane Austen Society de Norte América. La serie se emitirá. Las emisiciones son parte del encuentro de primavera de la sociedad, "Visualizando Orgullo y Prejuicio en el Condado de Orange".

Next weekend, people at Pittsburgh (USA) can enjoy a special Janeite weekend.

On Friday night, there will be a movie screening and panel discussion of various versions of Pride and Prejudice.
On Saturday, 9 am to 5 pm: Conference with Carrie Bebris (Mr. and Mrs. Darcy mystery series),   Carol Chernaga (Master Gardener and author of A Dream House and Kim Wilson, (Tea with Jane Austen and In the Garden with Jane Austen).

There will be also country dance lessons and more!
