Y ahora volvemos nuestros ojos a México, de cuyos habitantes no nos olvidamos, por el cariño que les tenemos y por lo que han sufrido con el tiempo en las últimas semanas. Esperamos que todo mejore.

Volviendo al aniversario de Orgullo y Prejuicio, ya tenemos el programa que la Cátedra Extraordinaria Virginia Woolf, en la Facultad de Filosofía y Letras de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, va a realizar. Denominado "Coloquio interdisciplinario. Jane Austen: Orgullos y Prejuicios", el salón de actos, os espera los días 14, 15 y 16 de octubre de 2013. Si vais, ¡queremos saber vuestra opinión por tan genial evento! Y por supuesto, si tenemos más noticias, os las pondremos ;)

Returning to the anniversary of Pride and Prejudice, we have the program that Cátedra Extraordinaria Virginia Woolf, in the Faculty of Filosofía y Letras from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México,  will perform. Called "Interdisciplinary Colloquium. Jane Austen: Prides and Prejudice", the hall, waiting for you on 14, 15 and October 16, 2013. If you go, we want to know your opinion on that great event! Conference/Conferencia: Andrew Davies in Chapman University/Universidad de Chapman (USA/EEUU)

Andrew Davies, writer of adaptation such as Pride and Prejudice 1995, Northanger Abbey, Middlemarch and many more will be giving a conference in Chapman University next 26th April 7 PM, by the Jane Austen Society of North America. There will be a screenings of the series. The screenings are part of the society’s spring meeting, “Visualizing Pride and Prejudice in Orange County.”

Andrew Davies, guionista de adaptaciones como Orgullo y Prejuicio 1995, La Abadía de Northanger, Middlemarch y muchas más adaptaciones dará una conferencia en la Universidad de Chapman el próximo 26 de Abril a las 7 de la tarde, gracias a la Jane Austen Society de Norte América. La serie se emitirá. Las emisiciones son parte del encuentro de primavera de la sociedad, "Visualizando Orgullo y Prejuicio en el Condado de Orange".

Jane Austen - Timeless! - Minneapolis (USA-EEUU)

The Jane Austen Society of North America (JASNA) is, of course, celebrating the 200 years of Pride and Prejudice. For that, they will hold an encounter in Minneapolis (USA). If you want to join great JASNA or you are interested in this conference, please, check this link:

Study day at Chawton House Library to celebrate our beloved book. Four scholars of Austen will discuss it and the day will conclude at Jane Austen's House Museum, with a selection of readings from the novel by Elizabeth Garvie, (Lizzy in 1980 BBC adaptation).

Pride and Prejudice Conference - Conferencia Orgullo y Prejuicio - Cambridge (UK)

From 21st to 23rd June of 2013, in Lucy Cavendish College (University of Cambridge), Professor Janet Todd and Dr Chloe Preedy organize a conference to celebrate the 200 years of Jane Austen's beloved novel. It will be about the evolution of the novel through modern screen adaptations and literary spin-offs. There will be Austen academics, readings of Pride and Prejudice, screenings, a Regency ball and a visit to Chawton.
