Ésta es la última edición que le han regalado a nuestra amiga y austenita Rosa. Es una preciosidad de Alba y es ilustrada, pero lo mejor es el dibujo que ella misma ha hecho. Éstas hecha una auténtica artista Rosa.

This is the last book that has been given to our friend and Janeite Rosa. Alba edition is gorgeous and it is illustrated, but the best is the drawing that she has done. You are a real artist Rosa.

Y aquí tenemos un zoom del dibujo de Rosa y simplemente nos reafirmamos en lo bello que es. Como ya sabemos, Rosa era un artista digital que nos había hecho unos banners preciosos, pero además, tiene unas manos que dan de sí, hermosas estampas como la que nos enseña aquí.

And here's a close up of the drawing of Rosa and you can simply reaffirm how beautiful it is. As we know, Rosa was a digital artist who had made us some beautiful banners, but also her hands, themselves, make beautiful prints as here.

Oh, we are very happy, because we have pictures that come from the other side of the world (to us, who live in Spain). Our beloved janeite friend Antara is at the very famous Indian Coffee House,Kolkata with her Austen collection. This Indian Coffee House is a nostalgic and famous cafe of her city,Kolkata. She decided to take her dear friend Miss Austen there to share a coffee time with her, instead of the classic tea. We wish we could be there too. She is very honoured!!

Oh, estamos muy contentas, porque tenemos unas imágenes que vienen desde el otro lado del mundo (para nosotras, que vivimosn en España). Nuestra querida amiga austenita Antara se encuentra en el famoso Indian Coffee House, Kolkata con su colección de Austen. Este café es un lugar nostálico nostálgico y famoso de su ciudad, Calcuta. Ella decidió llevar a su querida amiga, la señorita Austen, allí para compartir un café con ella, en lugar del clásico té. Nos gustaría poder estar allí también. ¡Ella se siente muy honrada!

 

Debalina, who is Antara's sister is another Janeite and she loves Jane very much. So,she didn't want to miss this oppotunity to spend some time with Austen too. She is honoured to share her Austen collection with all of us. She is in the famous City Park and Lake, Kolkata, India. It is a a visitors' attraction in their city. Of course, we wish we could see the place and see those versions of Austen's novels. How we wish we all could have an Austen party together!! :)

Debalina, que es la hermana de Antara, es otra austenita que a Jane mucho. Por lo tanto, ella no quería perderse este oppotunidad de pasar algún tiempo con Austen también. Ella tiene el honor de compartir su colección de Austen con todos nosotros. Ella se encuentra en el famoso Parque de la Ciudad y el lago, en Calcuta, India. Es una atracción para visitantes en su ciudad. Por supuesto, nos gustaría ver el lugar y ver las versiones de las novelas de Austen. ¡Cómo nos gustaría que todos podemos tener una fiesta Austen todas juntas! :)

El norte de España tiene parecido con la costa inglesa (ved el Palacio de la Magdalena), y una lectura en The Old Cormoran Tavern, en la bella bahía santanderina, nos recuerda a aquellos lugares en las costas británicas e irlandesas.

Almu enjoys and invites us to read Pride and Prejudice in a September afternoon in Santander. The North of Spain has a resemblance to the English coast (see the Magdalena Palace), and a reading at The Old Cormoran Tavern, in the beautiful Bay of Santander, is reminiscent of those places in the British and Irish coasts.

ElizzyB acompaña a Almu en su lectura, y aunque no bebe té en esta ocasión, eso no hace que suene menos austeniano...quizá, sea más del estilo de Persuasión, pero bueno, no creemos que importe en este caso, pues la hermosa bahía de Santander, lo hace todo maravilloso.

ElizzyB accompanies Almu in reading and although she is not drinking tea this time, that does not make it less janeite... perhaps more Persuasion style, but hey, we do not think it matters in this case, when the beautiful Santander Bay does  everything wonderful.

Pasionalmente, junto a una rosa roja, se encuentran bailando Mr Darcy y Elizabeth, en la portada que nos envía AnnEw desde el caluroso sur de España. ¡Ay, el amor que parecía que no existe, envolverá a nuestros protagonistas!

¿Qué película le apetece ver hoy? AnnEw nos hace tres propuestas a las que no nos podemos negar. Por un lado, la fuerza visual y la música encantadora de la versión con Keira y Mattew. Por otro, una chica muy moderna, se sumerge en su austenismo, a través de una puerta secreta que da lugar a aventuras y mucho más. Para finalizar, la fidelidad, el buen hacer y faltan las palabras, para la miniserie dramática de la BBC más famosa.

What movie do you fancy today? AnnEw us proposes three movies which we can not deny. On one hand, the visual strength and lovely music of version with Keira and Matthew. On the other, a  very modern girl in her Austenverse plunges through a secret door that leads to adventures and more. Finally, fidelity, craftsmanship and we cannot finde the nice words for the most famous BBC drama miniseries.

Rosa nos encuadra su ejemplar de Orgullo y Prejuicio en español. Como si fuerta parte del baile que muestra la portada, sus manos se posicionan para dar los primeros movimientos en el baile de páginas que es la novela :)

Rosa fits her copy of Pride and Prejudice in Spanish. As if part of the dance showing in the cover, her hands are positioned to make the first moves in the dance of pages that is the novel :)

Y no sólo nos muestra el libro, si no que como este homenaje está intentando hacer, nos pone el libro en el mundo. Porque estamos esperando las fotos de todos, que os queda el resto del año aún, para que podamos decir que tenemos como mínimo una foto del libro en cada uno de los países del mapa, que sea un mundo austeniano :) Gracias Rosa.

And not only shows us the book, but rather as this tribute we are trying to do, we put the book in the world. Because we are waiting for the pictures of all you and you have the rest of the year even, so maybe in december, we can say we have at least a photo of the book in each of the countries on the map, it is a janeite world :) Thanks Rosa.

Así, está a medio camino en tre Uruguay y Brasil. Pride and Prejudice, which is a bridge for readers, that unites us, even though we are from different countries and cultures, is on the bridge of Barao of Maua, Jaguarão riverside in Brazil. So, it s halfway between Uruguay and Brazil. ¡Qué hermosa foto! Porque si ver a un austenita, y a una tan querida como Gabi, es emocionante, ¡imaginad todo un club de lectura! Aquí desde Tijuana en México (detrás parece vislumbrarse la California estadounidense), está todo el grupo, con sus tesoros de Orgullo y Prejuicio. Acaban de terminar de leer la novela de Austen y están muy emocionados porque van a ver la adaptación de la BBC de 1995. ¡Esperamos que os guste y no sólo la camiseta mojada de Colin! :) Besos para todos :)

Here, from Tijuana in Mexico (behind you can seem to see California (USA) too), is the whole group, with their treasures of Pride and Prejudice. Así, sí que nos apuntamos a merendar :)

What do you think of a Sunday afternoon with family or friends? If all of you are even a little bit janeites, I think Trinity is right to get this beautiful tray with a teapot, cups with beautiful flowers, and of course, her edition of Pride and Prejudice, purchased in Bath. So, yes we aim to lunch :)
